This is a fun project that I did for US Steel through Fleischman Hillard for their annual report. They wanted to showcase imagery of the iconic Unisphere in Queens, New York. It happens to be constructed with US Steel. I did two images for them that you can see below.
I modeled out a representation of the entire park. If you look closely, you can see the roof outline of Arthur Ashe Stadium in the distance. You might be wondering why I built the Unisphere model instead of buying one. It turns out there aren't any good accurate models on the market! Most people think you can just toss a wireframe modifier on a sphere and then you're done. Nope. There was much thought put into this structure and it is deceivingly complex. I wanted to stay true to the impressive engineering and symbolism of the actual sculpture.
They also requested this image, which I think turned out pretty cool. If memory serves, this accompanied a section on sustainability. It was surprisingly tricky to get all of this lined up.
